More than a week after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, The Salvation Army continues its relief efforts. Assessment teams have targeted southern locations and provided more than 250 families with:

  • Tarps
  • Blankets
  • Hygiene kits (soap, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrush, disinfectant, hand sanitizer)
  • Drinking water
  • Food (rice, peas, cooking oil, etc.)

« People are living in shelters made with sheets and coconut straw. Some take refuge under trees, but the majority of the people sleep in the street, » shared Mondesir, a member of a Salvation Army assessment team.

Destroyed buildings, blocked roads and the pandemic make it challenging for many vulnerable people to access much-needed aid. We are truly grateful for your support. Your generosity provides life-saving support to many Haitians devasted by this tragedy.
