More than a week after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, The Salvation Army continues its relief efforts. Assessment teams have targeted southern locations and provided more than 250 families with:

  • Tarps
  • Blankets
  • Hygiene kits (soap, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrush, disinfectant, hand sanitizer)
  • Drinking water
  • Food (rice, peas, cooking oil, etc.)

“People are living in shelters made with sheets and coconut straw. Some take refuge under trees, but the majority of the people sleep in the street,” shared Mondesir, a member of a Salvation Army assessment team.

Destroyed buildings, blocked roads and the pandemic make it challenging for many vulnerable people to access much-needed aid. We are truly grateful for your support. Your generosity provides life-saving support to many Haitians devasted by this tragedy.
