This year, The Salvation Army in Chilliwack, Maple Ridge and The Gateway of Hope in Langley will be participating in a National Campaign known as The Coldest Night of the Year.

This will be The Gateway of Hope’s first year participating in the event and they need your help!

Coldest Night of the Year is a fundraising walk that will start and end at The Gateway of Hope in Langley.  It will see teams of people walk through the Langleys on a 5km or 10km walk showing support for The Salvation Army and supporting a response to help those in need.

What we need right now is team captains, people that would reach out to 6 – 12 of their friends, business partners or club members and form a team that will find a few sponsors each towards their walk of 5 or 10 kms.  The online system that is being used is very easy to set up a team and then each team member signs on, they find a connection that would sponsor them $10 or more and off they go – simple!

On the evening of Feb 22nd 2014, 30 teams will walk and finish at The Gateway of Hope for some hot food and hot chocolate!
