You Give Strength to Vulnerable Girls

The Salvation Army Child Development Center (CDC) in Sri Lanka is a compassionate residential home for girls that offers a safe environment, essential care, food, education, emotional support and opportunities for future growth.

Girls without a home or support are referred to the center with the goal of leaving as mature individuals ready to pursue their dreams.

Thivya, 17, has lived at the center for four years and cherishes its family-like atmosphere. She is so grateful for the opportunity to receive an education, as she aspires to a future where she can support herself and her family. I love to lead the other girls in singing and music at the CDC, Thivya says.

Your generosity funds programs that not only provide essential care to girls facing harsh or unsafe circumstances but also give them the strength and confidence to pursue their dreams and live independently.
