The Hope in the City Winnipeg luncheon is kicking off The Salvation Army’s 2025 Christmas Campaign with guest speaker Milt Stegall! We are so grateful for the opportunity to come together to support The Salvation Army’s incredible work in Winnipeg. Also joining us to emcee the event is CTV’s Maralee Caruso.
This event is more than just a meal. It’s a chance to make a meaningful impact in our community. Funds raised go towards helping The Salvation Army continue its essential programs and services, providing hope and support to those who need it most.

Guest Speaker: Milt Stegall

Milt Stegall was born in Cincinnati on January 25, 1970 and is a former professional football player who played 17 years of professional football. He spent three years in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals and 14 years in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Stegall was an All-Star receiver for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with an illustrious 14-year career from 1995 to 2008. He held several major CFL records upon his retirement, including most career receiving yards, and currently holds the record for career receiving touchdowns with 144, and most touchdowns scored with 147. In 2012, he was elected into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, and he was added to the Winnipeg Football Club’s Ring of Honour on July 29th, 2016.
Although Milt officially retired from professional football on February 18, 2009, he remains one of the most popular CFL players among the media. He would often get praise from his teammates for his work ethic, personality, and leadership.
On June 3, 2009, it was announced that Stegall would join TSN as an analyst for their CFL broadcasts. He currently resides with his family in Atlanta, Georgia.
