Together, we’re providing hope in uncertain times
Over the past few months, it has not been easy for many of us. People are dealing with fear and anxiety that comes with uncertainty of what’s next and not being able to be with family and friends and do all the things we used to do.
Many in our communities are struggling to pay the bills and put healthy food on the table during these days. The unknown of the future is hard during these trying times.
February 14-20 is Non-Profit Sector Appreciation Week, and we at The Salvation Army are so thankful, as our ministry units come alongside and work together with other non-profit partners to meet the needs of the clients that we serve. When we work together, we can help physically, emotionally and spiritually, meeting the whole persons’ needs in a variety of ways through the programs that each partner offers.
This could not have been done without our faithful volunteers who have been willing to give of themselves during these days of uncertainty, showing up time and time again to give a helping hand, a word of encouragement and a listening ear. For some clients all they needed to hear was, “Welcome, come on in, so glad to see you today”.
Once again, thank you so much. Our volunteers and community partners have come through to offer generous support to build relationships and work together as one. Giving Hope to those we serve, together we become stronger in our resources and outcomes.
