A lot of children will be waking up Christmas Day with presents and smiles thanks to CTV Toy Mountain.

Recently, the annual toy fundraiser in partnership with The Salvation Army wrapped up with great success. In the Greater Toronto Area, a total of 131,000 toys were donated, bringing holiday cheer to 38,000 children. And through this support and others, The Salvation Army was able to support 9,000 families.

Individual donors and corporate partners in the Greater Toronto Area stepped up to bring the magic of Christmas to families through CTV’s Toy Mountain in support of The Salvation Army.

“A huge thank you to everyone that helped us build a Toy Mountain and to bring the magic of Christmas to families across the Greater Toronto Area this year,” says Glenn van Gulik, Divisional Director for Public Relations with The Salvation Army in Ontario.

“This year’s Toy Mountain was a great joyful success. The hopefulness of Christmas has come alive this year through CTV’s Toy Mountain campaign, and The Salvation Army in Ontario couldn’t be more pleased with the number of families and children we’ve been able to support thanks to this innovative partnership and the support of our generous donors, partners, individuals and families helping us make sure there are gifts under the tree.”

CTV Toy Mountain partners who helped make this year a success include: Marner Assist Foundation, Greater Toronto Ford Dealers, Access Storage, Best Buy Canada, Rexall Care Network, Crunch Fitness Canada, Complete Group of Companies, Thunder Graphics, Park ‘N Fly and Certified Sports Memorabilia.

While CTV Toy Mountain has wrapped up for 2021, it’s not too late to donate to The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign online at www.salvationarmy.ca or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY, or by donating at a Christmas kettle at several malls, grocery stores and retail locations throughout Ontario.
