Pepito’s Convenience owner Chris Probst wanted to give back to the town of Fenelon Falls, so in May he called Salvation Army Corps Officer Jeff Robertson asking for a collection box for the store counter.

Since then, Probst has been matching customer’s donations, up to $150 each month that will go towards supporting The Salvation Army’s essential programs and services that help the communities’ most vulnerable.

“We are so grateful for Chris Probst’s support of The Salvation Army here in Fenelon Falls and his empathy towards the most vulnerable in the community,” said Jeff Robertson, Corps Officer. “We are an innovative partner and appreciate everyone’s assistance. These gestures go a long way to helping The Salvation Army mobilize to care for the practical needs of those dealing with food insecurity and loneliness.”

Probst has also donated gift cards from his store to the local Salvation Army food bank.

To provide financial support to The Salvation Army, donations can be made online at www.salvationarmy.ca or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY, where donations can also be directed to a specific program or location.
