Rogers Family Donation Provides Much Needed Support to Feed Orangeville’s Most Vulnerable
Thanks to the generous Rogers Family donation of $30,400 to The Salvation Army New Hope Community Church in Orangeville, Ontario they were able to purchase two new coolers and one freezer, which allowed for increased storage of non-perishables. Additional shelving was also purchased and installed to assist with storing food bank supplies.
“The Rogers Family funding was certainly appreciated in Orangeville. We were certainly in need of extra storage, so adding more storage and the extra freezer has made such a positive difference. We’re so grateful to be able to serve so many families and provide gift cards for food in a time that there has been increased need,” said Roger Barrow, Pastor at The Salvation Army New Hope Community Church
The donation helped a total of 234 families with food during the holidays. Over $17,000 in gift cards for food during the Christmas season was provided to these families in need.
“This was a tremendous boost for our vulnerable community members and would not have happened without the wonderful Rogers Family donation. We all thank you.”
