National Advisory Board Meets to Highlight Impact and Leadership

The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board (NAB) convened virtually in February 2026 to review key organizational updates and priorities.

Ted Troughton, managing director of National Recycling Operations, and Janet Park, chief development officer, presented the 2024/2025 annual impact report along with updates on marketing and fundraising initiatives, providing insight into the organization’s progress and strategic direction.

The meeting also marked the final session for Lieut.-Colonel John Murray as executive officer to the NAB following his appointment as the territorial commander of the Uganda Territory, where he will assume the rank of colonel.

Susan Waterfield, NAB chair, along with board members, expressed their appreciation for Lieut.-Colonel Murray’s dedicated service and leadership.

The NAB will next convene in Toronto in June, with a dinner at the National Club and meetings at the Canada Life building.
