National Advisory Board in Action
In recent months, The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board (NAB) hosted several events that highlighted the organization’s impactful work.
On June 11, NAB members met for dinner at The National Club in Toronto. Commissioner Christine MacMillan, guest speaker, addressed the important issue of human trafficking.
The following day, attendees heard presentations from Major Jennifer Hillier on social mission, Captains Josh and Joyce Downer and Rob Brown on camping ministries, and Rev. Dr. Rob Fringer, president and vice-chancellor of Booth University College.
On October 9, NAB members gathered to mark the final meeting for NAB chair, Susan Waterfield. During the session, the board recognized her leadership and years of service.
David S. Williams, managing partner of O’Dea Earle Law Offices in St. John’s, N.L., and a current NAB member, was also celebrated for being appointed King’s Counsel by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. This honorary designation recognizes senior lawyers for exceptional merit and contributions to the legal profession.
Through their involvement and expertise, NAB members continue to strengthen The Salvation Army’s work across Canada.
