Home Heating Program (PEI)

In partnership with the Government of PEI, The Salvation Army is helping Islanders heat their homes this winter through The Home Heating Program.

The program provides assistance for the following heat sources; oil, wood, electric, wood pellets, and propane.

Qualified Applicants:

  • You live in PEI and are within the following income threshold:
    • $45,000 for one-person households,
    • $60,000 for two persons and up
  • Applicants cannot be in receipt of social assistance
  • Your household is experiencing an emergency heating situation

The Home Heating Program offers maximum assistance in the amount of $1200 per calendar year for individuals and families. If you are in an emergency home heating situation, please contact us to set up an appointment.

From Monday to Friday at The Salvation Army 158 Fitzroy Street, Charlottetown, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm, walk-ins are welcome.

Additionally, walk-ins are welcome from Monday to Friday at the County Fair Mall 475 Granville Street, Summerside, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm. You can also reach this location by phone for inquiries at 902-916-1716.

Applications are available for pick up at all Public Libraries and all access P.E.I offices across the island
