Fulfilling a Dream—Thanks to You

Emmanuel was just a year away from graduating high school when his father was killed in a road accident in Zambia. Suddenly his education was in doubt.

“Being a single parent with three children, I knew it would be difficult for me to look after Emmanuel and his education,” says Emmanuel’s mother.

But thanks to the Brighter Futures children’s sponsorship program, donors like you stepped in to help Emmanuel finish his high school education. Today, he is in university studying accounting and is also working as a cashier for The Salvation Army Zambia Territory. He dreams of becoming a certified accountant—and thanks to you, he’s well on his way.

“Without children’s sponsorship, I would not be where I am today,” he says. “I would like to thank the Canadian sponsors for changing my life.”
