Celebrating Long Serving Advisory Board Members
The Salvation Army hosted a celebration luncheon for three essential names on the Greater Vancouver Advisory Board: Tom Skidmore, Kelly Heed and George Hungerford. Together, the three have given more than 90 years of intense dedication to The Salvation Army.
“With great happiness that we can honour three long-time members of our Greater Vancouver Advisory Board, men of great value and who have provided a great service to The Salvation Army with their ideas and, especially, their actions on behalf of our community,” Lt. Colonel Jamie Braund, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army.

As Chair of the Greater Vancouver Advisory Board, Robert McFarlane, highlighted the importance of the services provided by the three members during their period together on the Advisory Board.
“Today we recognize the tremendous service to our community through the longstanding involvement of my fellow colleagues on the Advisory Board who are outstanding local citizens, accomplished businessmen, generous philanthropists, and my friends,” said McFarlane.
