New Community Family Services and Admin Office Opens in Maple Ridge

On February 10, our Ridge Meadows Ministries officially opened the newly renovated Community and Family Services and administrative office located at 23315 Dewdney Trunk Road, in Maple Ridge.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for our programs and services has drastically increased and has continued to do so in recent years. In the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, we managed to continue to run our Community Services out of a small converted medical office for a while, but eventually, it became apparent we needed a more purposeful space.

This new location provides the community we serve with a safe, clean, comfortable environment to access services. There is a play area for children in the waiting room, a private bathroom with a changing table, as well as a diaper room and a full pantry with an industrial-sized fridge and freezers to safely store donated items.

Some of the programs at the Community and Family Services include Adopt a Family Christmas Hamper Program, Back to School, Community Meals, Emergency Food Hampers, School Lunch Bag, Sonia’s Cradle and Summer Camp.

These programs are designed to assist individuals and families living at or below the poverty line. In 2022, Ridge Meadows Ministries was able to serve 92,560 meals to the community, provided 208 families with baby and toddler necessities through our Sonia’s Cradle Program, and distrusted 267 emergency food hampers.
