Meet the Wilkinsons

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of The Salvation Army in Prince George we would like to introduce you to Majors Crystal & Neil Wilkinson. Crystal originally started work with us in 1990 and Neil in ’98 after both became Soldiers in 1990.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Crystal: primary school teacher
Neil: Either an architect or an Officer
What is your favourite thing about working for The Salvation Army?
Crystal: being able to adapt a lifestyle of sharing the gospel & serving others
Neil: building transforming relationships
If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
Crystal: time travel so I could visit or revisit important events & loved ones
Neil: The ability to function without sleep so that there is more time in the day to do the things I enjoy doing

Crystal: William Booth
Neil: John Wesley
Which actor/actress would you want to play you in a movie?
Crystal: Melissa McCarthy
Neil: Tom Cruise
Last book you read?
Both: Sacred Pathways by Gary Thomas (we read it together)

Crystal: Proverbs 3:5-6
Neil: 2 Timothy 1:7
What helped pass the time for you with COVID-19 restrictions?
Crystal: caring for my family, both my daughter and my mother moved in with us a few weeks before Covid
Neil: we were kept very busy because of increased demand for support at our Community Ministries Food Bank
