Christmas Joy

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them,

“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. A Saviour has been born. He is Christ the Lord.”

The first Christmas was marked by news of great joy. The Salvation Army continues to share this joy filled news. Jesus, the Saviour of the world is come. He brings gifts of salvation; health, wholeness, completion for all people.

The popular carol reminds us that joy is received, “Joy to the world the Lord is come, let earth receive her king.” It is our prayer that you will receive Christmas Joy. Jesus said, “Ask and you will receive and your joy will be complete.”

With joy The Salvation Army offers welcome and practical assistance to all people at Christmas and throughout the year. Thank you for supporting this work.
