Saturday, September 29, 2018 MINISO Canada officially opened the doors at their newest location in downtown Vancouver. The store, which is located at 841 Granville Street, held an official ribbon cutting ceremony and invited Major Jessica Doria from the New Westminster Citadel along with a family of clients from that location to help do the honours. What made this ribbon cutting extra special was what proceeded it, MINISO Canada through their MiniMentor program, raised $7,000 for The Salvation Army’s after-school programs for children and youth. This announcement also came with a donation of 48 brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies from their stores. “These backpacks will go directly to children in the Lower Mainland” said Major Doria, they will with our back-to-school efforts to ease the pain for families that cannot always afford the supplies their children need every September.
