Christmas in January.

1300 people from the DTES were treated to a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and deluxe desserts at The Salvation Army Harbour Light thanks to VCC!

All the food was prepared by VCC’s culinary students made up the cooking team and volunteers included staff, students, and community members.

MANY THANKS to VCC for sponsoring this event! Our clients really appreciated the amazing meal and we’re blessed in knowing that someone cares so much even after the holiday season is done.

Some wonderful stats from the day:

850 in the first hour and a half
150 volunteers (3 one hour shifts)
30 in the kitchen team
70 turkeys served

Hope is served all year round.
