Every child should have the opportunity to experience summer camp. Unfortunately, many families can’t afford to send their children.

Children look forward to camp all year because it’s the only vacation they’ll get. At camp, kids will accomplished things they never thought they could, such as canoeing and rock climbing. And while experiencing these activities in a safe and fun environment, they will also discover new hope and confidence that will prepare them for a brighter future.

With the start of summer just days away, you can give a child impacted by poverty something exciting to look forward to. Salvation Army camps provide a reprieve from the daily worries of everyday life. Our campers eat nutritious meals, engage in fun activities such as swimming and crafts, and participate in team-building exercises that develop their self-esteem and social skills.

For over 115 years, The Salvation Army has provided camping programs for children in need. Today, in Canada, more than 4,500 children attend Salvation Army sleep-away and day camps each summer.
