Representing the oldest citadel in the Lower Mainland, The Salvation Army inNew Westminster has been serving the community with Soup, Soap and Salvation since 1888.  The Salvation Army invites all to celebrate the 125th Anniversary with a community driven multi-day event running from Friday, March 1st to Monday, March 4th.

March 4th, 2013 has been deemed as “Salvation Army Day in New Westminster” by New Westminster City Council.  Shares Sharon Tidd, Pastor for The Salvation Army New Westminster Citadel Corps, “literally thousands of people have been offered help and hope, some finding freedom from addiction, others moving from homelessness into productive, stable living environments, many others receiving practical assistance in emergencies.  The Salvation Army in New Westminster has enjoyed the privilege and blessing of serving all those who need practical assistance.”
