Putting a stop to Seniors hunger: Cans For Comfort.

Undernourishment and malnutrition are serious problems for Seniors in our communities in this day and age. To address the need and in response to this growing issue, Comfort Keepers, launched STOP Senior Hunger, a campaign that began in 2009 and aims to increase education surrounding Seniors centered nutrition, family detection and support programs and resources, amongst others.

Please come out on Saturday, October 6th to show your support at two Burnaby drop off locations.

If you are unable to attend the drive on Saturday, but have collected cans at your local office, please contact Comfort Keepers @ 604.689.8609 or email heathermartin@comfortkeepers.ca as there will be a pick up service for items on Friday, October 5th.

The goal of this year’s effort is to raise 1000 cans.

As Seniors age and change, so do their nutritional needs. By keeping them properly fed and healthy, we can make a real difference in their quality of life,” shared Heather Martin, Owner and Operations Manager Comfort Keepers Vancouver. “We want caregivers and family members to be aware of ways to monitor the nutrition of seniors in their care.”
