“Teamwork makes the dream work!”

May 15th, began with sunshine and smiles as approximately 75 volunteers from across the Greater Victoria area met at Applebee’s Restaurant to enjoy a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast.

We are very grateful to each and every volunteer who donates his or her time to help The Salvation Army restore dignity and hope. We asked our volunteers why they volunteer and answers we received included:

-I can
-It’s Fun!
-Teamwork makes the dream work
-I love helping people
-The Salvation Army makes it easy
-It’s good for my community
-I like to share
-The staff is so enjoyable
-The Salvation Army has done / does do a lot for my family
-I grew up as a child using Salvation Army resources and feel good about being a part of keeping the cycle of hope going
-I get to share free pancake breakfast with friends
