Toys 4 Tickets: a huge success!

Thank you to Impark and all those who came out to support the work being done by The Salvation Army in participating in a one day, 4 hour event during which, people had the opportunity to donate a toy and have their parking violation waived.

On Thursday, November 24th inVancouver, Kamloops, Kelowna and Prince George, The Salvation Army received generous donations that truly marked the spirit of the season.

Toys collected:

Vancouver- 2,568

Kelowna- 700 +

Kamloops- 675

Prince George- 90

At one point, Major Brian Venables shared, “We’ve got a sleigh full of toys here and there are still about 50 people waiting in line”.  “The generosity of Impark is incredible,” he said. “They wrote off hundreds of tickets so some kids will get a Christmas toy.”
