Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign Surpasses National Target

“The fact that we have exceeded our goal is remarkable and shows that the true spirit of generosity is alive and well in the Canada – we’re humbled that so many heeded the call to help their neighbours in need,” said Commissioner William Francis, Territorial Commander for The Salvation Army in Canada & Bermuda. “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, to the thousands of bell-ringers who stood for countless hours at kettles across this vast nation, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the malls, retail chains and stores that welcomed us in this Christmas. We couldn’t raise the funds we need to help vulnerable and marginalized people without the support of our many dear friends and partners.”
The 2010 Christmas Campaign helped The Salvation Army provide direct, compassionate, hands-on service to more than 1.6 million people in Canada, restoring hope and dignity to the most vulnerable around the nation.
THANK YOU for your continued support and generosity as without your help, we would not be able to achieve all that we do by making a positive difference in our local communities.
