Nood and The Salvation Army warm hearts and feet this holiday season

Home furnishings store, Nood, is launching The Red Sock Project on a local level in both Vancouver and Victoria.  Their customers are invited to donate $2 towards a pair of red socks that in turn The Salvation Army will distribute amongst its community.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring the gift of warmth to those in need this holiday season by donating red socks to The Salvation Army.  Having warm dry feet is a simple request and one that we are delighted to rally our staff, customers and general public to provide,” shared Nood General Manager, Damien Bryan.

During the cold winter months, those who are homeless and less fortunate are at a higher risk of developing serious foot conditions due to exposure to extreme weather conditions and below zero temperatures.

This is a wonderful initiative and one that The Salvation Army is delighted to be part of.  Local resources are stretched even further in the colder months, so in having Nood and it’s customers contribute by either donating in-store or online at www.nood.ca this holiday season, everyone can pass on a little warmth!
