Last month the Bella Coola River flooded much of the local community found on British Columbia’s central coast … devastating it’s residents.

The Salvation Army answered by deploying immediate assistance in the way of ‘Crisis Response Teams’ from neighbouring, Williams Lake and Quesnel.  Coming well prepared, a mobile kitchen unit was on hand to provide three hot meals per day to residents of Bella Coola directly affected by the flood.  The teams not only served members of the community on a daily basis with food, but also provided emotional and spiritual support.   Weeks beyond the time that other resources had already left the scene, The Salvation Army was still there to lend a helping hand.
