Celebrating 130 Years of Ministry in Glace Bay, N.S.

The Glace Bay Corps marked its 130th anniversary on the weekend of November 8-9, 2025 with a spirit-filled celebration. Highlights included a Saturday evening Praise event featuring the Halifax West Community Church Band and Cape Breton’s beloved Men of the Deeps choir. Colonel Margaret McLeod, The Salvation Army’s chief secretary, served as guest speaker throughout the weekend.

Sunday worship was a special moment as new junior and senior soldiers, along with an adherent, were enrolled. The celebration concluded with the cutting of the anniversary cake by the new members, Corps officers Captains Charlene and Keith Barrett, and Colonel McLeod.

Congratulations to all!
