Guests at luncheon table

Vancouver’s William and Catherine Booth Society Luncheon

The William and Catherine Booth Society Luncheon provided a great opportunity for The Salvation Army to connect with and give thanks to some of our biggest supporters in the community. Hosted at The Vancouver Club on April 29, 2025, the event was also a great chance for guests to network with those in attendance, which included members of our Greater Vancouver Advisory Board.

During the luncheon, speakers from The Salvation Army educated donors about the vast range of programs and services we offer. Captain Joshua Downer, divisional youth secretary in the British Columbia Division, shared a keynote presentation about the impact of camp and updates on renovations at Camp Sunrise and Camp Mountainview that were made possible through donor support. A member of the camp staff joined him on stage to share her personal experience and how much camp played a role in her life. This summer, Camp Sunrise, located on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, will celebrate its 100th anniversary, while Camp Mountainview is recognizing 40 years in northern British Columbia.
