The Salvation Army Prairie Division has lots of opportunities to share the Christmas spirit by volunteering. Most of our volunteer opportunities are open to individuals or groups of any age and ability and don’t require any previous experience.

If you’re a reliable, friendly person with a positive attitude come join us for one of our many events over the Christmas season. Be a part of something special in your community and see the difference The Salvation Army makes in the lives of your neighbours! Check out some of our volunteer opportunities below and contact your local Salvation Army to get involved.

All Locations – Kettle Bell Ringer

The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle Campaign is our largest fundraising drive of the year. Seeking donations from the public to help assist millions of people living in poverty. Donations collected at a Kettle stay in the community in which they were made. Shifts can be as short as two hours and you can choose your location.

Donated toys are then sorted by age group and parents get to have a shopping experience in the Toy Centre selecting toys for their children.
