Santa Shuffle Returns for In-Person Walks in 2022 in Support of The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is excited to announce that participants of the Santa Shuffle 5 km Fun Run and 1 Km Elf Walk will be shuffling together once again on December 10th, 2022! In partnership with Running Room, the Santa Shuffle will take place in communities across Ontario, with events in Barrie, Burlington/Hamilton, Guelph, Kemptville, Kingston, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Whitby.
Join a Santa Shuffle near you to raise funds for programs and services in your community, as all donations remain local. The 2022 Santa Shuffle will be packed with new surprises, including new pledge incentives, best-dressed contests and updated medal and shirt designs.
The Hamilton/Burlington Santa Shuffle starts at 10am on Dec. 10, at Boston Pizza, 1563 Main Street West in Hamilton.
“The proceeds raised through the Santa Shuffle will be split – half to The Salvation Army Community and Family Services and the other half to the Youth Ministry at The Salvation Army Mountain Citadel,” says Cindy Taylor, Santa Shuffle Race Director in Hamilton and Burlington.
“Funds raised will benefit people who are having a hard time putting food on their table and getting the necessities they need for their children and their family.”
The Santa Shuffle Fun Run and Elf Walk in London takes place at John Paul II Catholic Secondary School at 1300 Oxford St. E. starting at 10 am. Dress up in fun Christmas costumes, walk with Santa and enjoy hot chocolate and soup served from the Operation Mobilizing Hope vehicle.
“In London, all the proceeds go toward The Salvation Army Community and Family Services to ensure people in need receive help through our assistance programs,” says Jodie Yule, Santa Shuffle London Race Director.
