United Way Day of Caring at LVM
The United Way Day of Caring mobilizes teams of corporate employees as volunteers, to complete meaningful, hands-on projects that will support local not-for-profit organizations in our communities, ie. greater Moncton area. Projects vary; they see everything from gardening to construction and everything in between.
The United Way Day of Caring volunteers have supported Lakeview Manor for the past several years by spending a day in early June refreshing our gardens, not only providing the manual labour but also by providing fresh annuals and mulch and their fun-loving spirits. The residents have truly enjoyed this day every year, watching the volunteers work away while giving their own expertise and advise.
Many thanks to the United Way for this yearly gift to many organizations in this area and especially to Lakeview Manor.
June 2020: Unfortunately, the United Way Day of Caring for this year was altered significantly due to the current health pandemic across the country.
June 2021: The United Way Day of Caring went ahead this year with continued COVID protocols in place. The volunteer team beautified the front island in the parking lot area and stained the front porch deck. We are so delighted to have these volunteers every year; they truly are compassionate and caring and so willing to do more and more.
June 2022: The United Way Day of Caring team was on site in full force making the front of our property beautiful. We are truly grateful for this gesture every year and appreciate the hard work these volunteers do in a true spirit of giving and caring.
