Let the Fur Fly!

Major Russ Holland was fortunate enough to be honored with the official game opening puck drop and shared, “it was a great game, a great atmosphere and a great spirit among all the people in the building.”
This has become an event that everyone looks forward to, in particular, the players themselves love the tradition as they all hope to one day be able to claim they scored a “teddy bear goal.”
Kyle Bryan, Director of Sales & Marketing for The Surrey Eagles noted that they selected The Salvation Army to be part of this amazing night because, “of the amazing work done and great reputation in the local community for helping families.”
Over 600 toys were collected to be donated to The Salvation Army for inclusion in the 900 plus hampers and toys given to families in the Surrey community, meaning 1500 people will be touched.
As an active organization in the community, the Eagles believe it’s important to give back through initiatives such as this and we’re happy they do! The Salvation Army would like to Thank the Surrey Eagles for their generosity and support this holiday season.
