Thanks to everyone who came out to the 8th annual Rogers Santa Claus Parade which kicked off the holiday season and drew roughly 300,000 people to downtown Vancouver on a beautiful sunny day!

Spectators arrived early along Burrard Street, coffees in hand and lawn chairs folded under arms.  This year’s parade featured more than 60 marching bands, choirs, festive floats and community groups such as, The Salvation Army.

Finally, Santa appeared in his reindeer-drawn sleigh – clearly one of the highlights for the vast majority of little ones.  That, and of course, receiving a little bell from one of our volunteers who marched proudly with our brass band!

Merry Christmas to one and all.
