$4.2 Million Raised Through Christmas Kettle Campaign
Thanks to the generous support of donors across Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and Bermuda, The Salvation Army’s Atlantic Division is pleased to announce that its 2025 Christmas Kettle Campaign raised more than $4.2 million to support families and children in need.
The annual campaign ran from mid-November to Dec. 24, with kettles stationed in high‑traffic public locations.
“As economic instability and the rising cost of living continue to strain households, we’re seeing extraordinary demand for our programs and services,” says Major Pam Goodyear, divisional secretary for public relations at The Salvation Army. “With each passing year, more individuals and families are turning to us for support. These donations ensure we can provide hope and practical help to neighbours struggling.”
Every dollar raised through the kettle campaign stays local and is used to fund vital community-based programs to support families and children at Christmas and throughout the year.
“People in these regions continue to show incredible generosity,” says Goodyear. “Every year, we ask for their support, and every year they respond with remarkable kindness. We couldn’t be more grateful.”
The Salvation Army also extends heartfelt thanks to its dedicated volunteers and the many individual donors, corporate partners, media outlets, and community organizations whose support is making a real difference for those who need it most.
