Gordon Pierik Joins the Greater Victoria Advisory Board

Advocate for Social Justice and Builder Gordon Pierik Welcomed to Victoria Advisory Board

Gordon Pierik is the founder and director of Outlook Project Management Ltd., a commercial and residential construction company in Victoria. He was welcomed as a member of the Greater Victoria Advisory Board at the board meeting on May 29, 2025.

Gordon began his construction career in trades-related work, such as pipe fitting and carpentry. In 2002, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start Outlook and, over time, the company expanded to become a design/build firm employing 20 people, with a commitment to building strong relationships based on family values. During this period, Gordon had personal opportunities to serve with his project management skills in post-disaster housing reconstruction in Honduras and El Salvador where, through partner agencies, he worked with poor and marginalized families affected by hurricanes and earthquakes. His master’s certificate in project management from Royal Roads University complemented the demands of these project roles, and his family joined him for first-hand living experiences in each country. In addition, he works with other business owners through coaching and mentoring.

Gordon is an active member of a local church and has served in various roles, including community mobilization and engagement, refugee sponsorship and church governance. He often engages in hands-on activities and is willing to roll up his sleeves. The roots of his service can be traced back to his early desire to personally serve with his abilities that could assist and/or lead as needed, as well as responding corporately to specific construction-based needs or sponsorships through other organizations. Social justice is a core value in all of his activities.
