Virtual Reality Takes Meighen Health Centre Residents Beyond Their Walls — In Collaboration with Help Mobility

In an inspiring partnership with Help Mobility, Meighen Health Centre recently introduced an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience to its residents — opening a whole new world of exploration, connection, and memory stimulation.
This innovative session allowed residents to “travel” beyond the walls of the care home — from peaceful nature walks to breathtaking landmarks and even nostalgic hometown views. With the support of Help Mobility’s cutting-edge VR technology and mobility expertise, MHC residents were able to enjoy fully guided experiences that were both therapeutic and profoundly joyful.
For many participants, the session offered more than just entertainment — it sparked meaningful conversations, smiles, and even tears of joy. Residents were seen reaching out, laughing, and reminiscing as they experienced vivid environments that stirred memories and awakened the senses.
