On Friday, September 12, 2025, Meighen Health Centre proudly hosted its Long-Term Care (LTC) Engagement Day, bringing together residents, families, staff, and community partners for a meaningful day of recognition and connection.

The event opened with “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” a light breakfast and warm conversations that set the tone for the day. We were also delighted to have Brian Larter, the Piano Man, perform live music that brought joy and encouraged sing-along moments among residents, families, and staff.

Following this, residents and family members were honored with LTC Community Engagement Certificates, recognizing their invaluable contributions to building a vibrant and supportive home environment.

Special guests, including Councillor Josh Matlow, MP Leslie Church, and the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) team, joined us to address the community. Their thoughtful remarks highlighted the importance of collaboration and the vital role long-term care homes play in providing compassionate, dignified, and innovative care.

LTC Engagement Day reflected Meighen Health Centre’s commitment to strengthening relationships, celebrating contributions, and advancing our mission of care. We are grateful to all who participated and look forward to building on this tradition in the years ahead.
