Celebrating Excellence in Nursing: Meighen Health Centre Launches RNAO Best Practice Spotlight

We’re excited to announce that on Friday, July 18th, The Meighen Health Centre officially launched its journey as a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) in collaboration with the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO).
This significant milestone marks the beginning of our organization’s commitment to advancing resident care through the adoption and evaluation of evidence-based Best Practice Guidelines.
Our team will be implementing the following three guidelines:
Palliative Care
End-of-Life Care
Transitions in Care and Services
To celebrate this launch, we hosted a vibrant in-person event featuring the presentation of certificates to our dedicated Best Practice Champions. These champions are passionate leaders who advocate for evidence-based practices and support their peers through mentorship and collaboration.
The day included a creative and insightful video performance by staff, which depicted what to expect from our Transitions in Care guideline—and a symbolic water-powered rocket launch that visually represented our takeoff into this transformative journey.
We are proud to be part of the BPSO movement and look forward to the positive impact this work will bring to our residents, staff, and organization as a whole.
