A more recent addition to the Greater Vancouver Advisory Board has been warmly received. The Salvation Army is thrilled to announce Matthew Carter as a new member.

In 2002, Matthew Carter embarked on a transformative journey from the UK to Vancouver, becoming a prominent figure in the city’s real estate landscape. As a seasoned real estate development consultant, Matthew focuses on aiding institutional and not-for-profit landowners in the redevelopment of underutilized properties.

Matthew’s impressive portfolio boasts successful management of real estate development projects for notable entities such as UBC Properties Trust, Great Northern Way Campus Trust, Simon Fraser University, the Resort Municipality of Whistler, the Polygon family of companies, the United Church of Canada, and the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver.

Beyond professional achievements, Matthew is a dedicated advocate for affordable housing. His commitment is evident through his role as a founding member of the Catalyst Community Developments Society—a non-profit group striving to make a positive impact in the community. Matthew’s dedication extends to the Board of MOSAIC, an organization providing settlement and employment services to newcomers in Canada.
