Housing Centers

The management of the lodging centers work in direct collaboration with the government. Qualified and social workers are there to welcome, guide and supervise residents, whether for a few nights or a few months.

L’Abri d’espoir

L’Abri d’espoir is a residence operated by The Salvation Army. Its mission is to provide housing to adult woman in difficulty, to meet their immediate needs and to offer services and programs in order to foster their reintegration.

Booth Center

The Booth Centre is a community organization that opens its doors to men 18 and older who face homelessness, addictions or mental health issues. Established in 1897 on Commune Street as “The Lighthouse Food and Shelter Depot”, its address changed several times over the following decades. A new building was built in 1958 in the South-West borough of Montreal. Since then, the Booth Centre has remained at the corner of Guy and Saint-Antoine. The centre can accommodate up to 207 residents. Lodging includes meals, basic care, access to various activities and more.

Food and material aid

Family services provides families living through difficult times with practical help such as and basic necessities.
Coats, mattresses, and school supplies for children are collected each year and distributed to people in need.

Emergency services and disaster relief services

The Salvation Army is emergency and disaster relief services offers disaster victims support and emergency material assistance: food baskets, furniture, clothing and more.

Christmas Hampers

For many families in Quebec, the holiday season is particularly difficult. That’s why The Salvation Army annually distributes hundreds of Christmas Hampers.

Community Church

Montreal Citadel and Nouveaux Départs community church offer tailored spiritual resources and services. They purpose is to meet the spiritual needs of their members, the community, and to promote the message of Jesus Christ.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store was built to ease your shopping. You will find a wide range of products that will please and satisfy you and your loved ones: shoes, clothes, fashion accessories, books, toys, antiques, household appliances and more.

The Salvation Army participates in a recycling program for certain materials (foam, metal, etc.), that helps decrease the amount of waste produced in the country. Funds raised are used to finance a large part of the services offered by The Salvation Army in Quebec.
