The Salvation Army is thrilled to be partnering with MOLLY MAID and its customers once again in an effort to collect non-perishable food items to help restock depleted shelves this summer.

“The national economy is still recovering and in fact, the demand for services provided by The Salvation Army continues to increase year after year,” says Graham Moore, Territorial Secretary for Public Relations and Development for The Salvation Army. “On behalf of the more than 1.7 million people that we serve each year, we are extremely grateful for the support of MOLLY MAID and its wonderful customers.”

Cathy Deacon, Franchise Owner of MOLLY MAID Langley, East Surrey, Abbotsford and Mission, BC, says “We are overwhelmed by the support displayed by our customers. They generously donate to the Christmas in July Food Drive by leaving non-perishable food items or monetary donations for our staff to pick up. We are eager to bring awareness to the important issue of hunger and to also help out in our community.”

Franchises across the country have confirmed their participation and are collecting food throughout the months of June and July.

MOLLY MAID has run other supportive initiatives in the past, including the MOLLY MAID Cares Winter Coat Drive. Since 2003, MOLLY MAID Franchise Owners and customers have donated over 150,000 pounds of food to support the Salvation Army and other local food banks in numerous communities across the country.
