Updated July 7th, 2015 –  We would like to thank the province of Saskatchewan for their great community response by donating summer items to the Northern Saskatchewan fire evacuees.  Over 2,700 people have received clothing through donations in Saskatoon at the Henk Ruys donation tent. As a result of the successful community response, we will be closing the donation drop off tent at Henk Ruys Soccer Centre Wednesday, July 8th at 1:00 p.m.  We have received enough donations to successfully conclude the initial phase of assisting the evacuees’ immediate needs.  Laundry services are now set-up so the evacuees are able to wash their belongings. We will continue to provide assistance to evacuees on an as-need basis with clothing vouchers to our Thrift Stores, free of charge, ensuring all evacuees’ clothing needs are being met. Anyone still wanting to donate summer items to the evacuees can do so at our Thrift Store locations throughout the province. We will be working with the Provincial government in the recovery phase after evacuees return home to fulfil the needs of those that have lost their belongings and are needing to rebuild.
