Calgary Police Help Pack Up Toys
It was a busy lunch hour at the Calgary Police Service Headquarters on Friday, December 19th as officers joined representatives from Encana and The Salvation Army to help wrap up this year’s Toy Angels campaign. Over the past few weeks, Calgarians have donated new toys to various drop-off locations around the city, including Calgary Police Service district offices. Almost 6,500 toys were piled in the headquarters main lobby to await further transport, and there were smiles on every face as they bagged the toys to load them onto trucks for delivery to The Salvation Army toy warehouse. This year over 7,500 children and teens will receive gifts from The Salvation Army, which would not be possible without the tremendous support of Kiss 95.9 FM, EnCana, and the Calgary Police Service. Thank you for helping us Give Hope Today.
