The Salvation Army’s Toronto Harbour Light Ministries provided delicious Thanksgiving dinners to more than 300 vulnerable individuals.

For the 27th year, on October 13, The Salvation Army and the Toronto Argonauts came together to provide hope and connection to those in need.

“We are grateful to the Toronto Argos for their generous support this Thanksgiving,” said Harbour Light Ministries executive director Major Elizabeth Price. “This annual dinner is a highlight of the year, welcoming our community for food and fellowship. We also deeply appreciate our dedicated volunteers who made the event a true celebration.”

Along with the meal, diners received swag bags, autographs, and photos with the players, making the experience even more special. The Argos, who have partnered with The Salvation Army since 1997, also generously supplied the turkeys.

Since 1955, Toronto Harbour Light has been a friend to vulnerable individuals and mission partners like Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and the Toronto Argos who help make this impactful work possible.

“We may have been there for Thanksgiving dinner, but we truly give thanks to The Salvation Army for their work year-round and for inviting us to lend a hand,” says Argos general manager Michael “Pinball” Clemons. “Supporting the most vulnerable citizens in our community is essential in an era where more and more people find themselves in need of a helping hand.”

Together, The Salvation Army and the Argos created a space filled with positivity and togetherness, ensuring no one went without a Thanksgiving meal.

A heartfelt thank you to the Toronto Argos and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment for their ongoing dedication to bringing hope and support to those facing hardship.
