To date, preliminary demolition work to prepare the site has begun and construction is on schedule for a December 2013 opening.

The local community is interested and excited about the initiative and recently, we learnt about a woman who made a donation to support the new campaign as her son had been in and out of the current Salvation Army shelter in FortSt. John and is currently in treatment and doing very well.

The Salvation Army in Fort St. John in partnership with BC Housing acquired the old Cedar Lodge Motel with the objective of providing additional services for the community and to offer a safety net where those in need can have a place to stay while they obtain counsel and support.

Please join us in making a positive impact for the local community.
