Retired Salvation Army Officer, Bubsie ( who recently celebrated her 100th Birthday on February 23rd ), checked off another item on her bucket list this past week with the help of the local Fire Department.

The Burnaby Fire Department agreed to give Bubsie a ride in a fire truck bucket lift, crossing off #2!

Bubsie was born to a pioneer family in Abbotsford. She was a Salvation Army officer most of her life. She retired in 1973, but continues to officiate at weddings and other functions. Every summer she has gone camping for two weeks in her camper van through the Okanogan. Bubsie has lived a life in service to others and it was a pleasure to see the smile on her face on this special day.

The last item that remains on her list is to experience her first plane ride!
