The Salvation Army would like to Thanks the Vancouver Giants, CKNW and all those who donated to our Giant Coat Drive at Friday night’s game! Those who attended the game were encouraged to bring a gently used jacket to donate to someone in need.
In total, 115 jackets and 2 sleeping bags were donated, including jackets for men, women and children. The donations collected will now be distributed through the Salvation Army Harbour Light drop-in center. This facility sees anywhere from 50 – 200 people per day of varying ages who come to seek relief from the rain and cold.
