Canadian furniture and home accent retailer, Urban Barn, invites its customers to join them in blanketing the country in warmth this November through the inaugural ‘Blanket the Country in Warmth’ campaign.  Urban Barn and its customers have partnered with local charities – including 2 local Salvation Army units – to donate a total of 8,000 brand-new fleece blankets to those in need.  Running throughout the month of November across all 41 Urban Barn retail locations inCanada’s five most westerly provinces, and with every $5.00 donation, a brand-new Urban Barn fleece blanket will be donated to a local homeless shelter within the community.

“We are extremely excited about this new opportunity to support those in need in our communities,” shares Linda Letts, President of Urban Barn. “This initiative is reflective of who we are as a company and as individuals. Ultimately, we each see ourselves as a member of our community and that comes with a certain level of responsibility. Our collective core values enable us to participate on a local level in a variety of ways, and ‘Blanket the Country in Warmth’ fits perfectly with our commitment to having a positive and immediate impact on the communities in which we work and live.”

These brand-new fleece blankets will be delivered to the selected shelters by Urban Barn staff upon the completion of the initiative.
