Your Support Gave Hope to Families Affected by Hurricane Ian

In September 2022, Hurricane Ian devastated the Western region of Cuba with 200-kilometers-per-hourwinds and massive flooding, leaving a trail of destruction as it crossed the country. The winds and flooding damaged housing, as well as access to drinking water and food. More than 3 million people were affected.

Despite the many logistical challenges that arose following the hurricane, your support enabled us to respond quickly to the crisis. Your gifts provided essential aid, including food, mattressesand bedding for 253 families directly affected by the hurricane.

“I am so grateful to The Salvation Army and the donors in Canada for remembering me,” says Daysis. “I had lost hope, but your support enabled me to sleep with dignity.”
